PUBLIC NOTICE 2021-2022

Local Government Municipal Finance Management Act, 56 of 2003 states:
Section 127
(5) immediately after an annual report is tabled in council in terms of subsection (2), the accounting officer of the municipality must-
(a) in accordance with section 21A of the Municipal Systems Act, 32 of 2000-
(i) make public the annual report; and
(ii) invite the local community to submit representation in connection with the annual report.
Notice is hereby given that the Annual Report 2020/2021 was tabled in council on the 26TH January 2022 and council has, in terms of legislation, referred the Annual Report 2020/2021 to the Municipal Public Accounts Committee for further consideration and public presentation and consultations, of which meetings will be held on the following dates to be published soon.
Copies of the Annual Report 2020/2021 are available at the following places:
• Municipal Offices in all municipal towns
o Clocolan/Hlohlolwane
o Ficksburg/Caledon Park/Meqheleng
o Senekal/Matwabeng
o Marquard/Moemaneng
• All libraries in the above-mentioned towns

Public Notice 01/ 2016-2017

The Draft Annual Report 2015/2016 was tabled at the Council sitting of the 30th January 2017 and Council has referred the Report to the Municipal Public Accounts Committee for Community engagement and consideration. In Terms of the Municipal Finance Management Act, 56 of 2003 and the Municipal planning and performance management Regulations of 2001, notice is hereby given that the Municipal Public Accounts Committee will engage with Community on:

width=The Municipality would like to bring to the attention of all residents that currently the Municipality is experiencing high rate of theft of copper lines in the residential area of Ficksburg.

It has come to our attention that there are people stealing the earth wires of the open Low Voltage lines. This action has resulted in numerous innocent people being electrocuted and therefore becoming victims of this perilous action.

The community at large is therefore requested to report any suspicious activity especially on any power lines as soon as possible to your nearest police station so that quick action can be taken towards bringing those responsible for this uncalled behaviour to justice.
