Public Notice Special Concession Period All accounts

Notice is hereby given to all Account Holders that the Municipality will once again embark on a special three-month concession period for all accounts that have not benefitted from any concession scheme in the past three years. All Government accounts are excluded from the concession scheme.

The special concession for all accounts will be calculated as follows:
On receipt of a lump sum payment as per the calculation done by the Local Credit Controller 50% of arrears 90 days and older will be written off. The payment must be reflected in the bank account of Setsoto Local Municipal at the latest on 31/05/2024.

The 3-month validity period:
1 March to 31 May 2024

Enquiries may be directed to all Credit Control Clerks in the towns of Ficksburg, Senekal, Clocolan and Marquard.

Setsoto Local Municipality is implementing a project for the Construction Of 1.3km Meqheleng/Ficksburg Surface Road And Stormwater. The contractor Maboka Contractors (Pty) Ltd is currently looking for interested suitable candidate for the position with the requirements as stipulated below:

Please Note the Following:

  1. No tender document is required.

    • Certified copies of ID of all directors/members on the CRC must be attached.
    • MBD 4 form for declaration of interest that is filled and signed in full. Form is obtainable from Supply Chain Management Offices or from the municipal website setsoto.gov.za under Supply Chain.
    • Municipal rates and taxes statement for the Company or Directors and must not be in arrears for more than three (3) months or a valid Lease Contract reflecting who is responsible to pay municipal rates and taxes if a Lessee is responsible for payment of municipal rates and taxes a municipal statement of account must be submitted or Letter of arrangement for payment of municipal services.
  6. Setsoto Local Municipality does not bind itself to accept the lowest bid or any other bid and reserves the right to accept the whole/part of the bid.
